Rate my drawing: an honest AI critique, free
Upload a photo of a sketch or a digital file. In about a minute Croqui scores it on five axes, says what already works, names the one thing holding the drawing back and gives you a 10-minute exercise for it. Your next drawing is checked against that exercise, so a rating becomes a before-and-after instead of just a number.
What you get for one drawing
Five scores, the same every time
Technique, artistic choices, consistency, creativity and overall, each 0–10. Fixed axes mean your fifth drawing can be compared with your first.
What's wrong, and what's right
A plain-language critique: what holds the drawing together, and the main problem named on your drawing (“the rim of the cup is too narrow”), not “practise more”.
One thing to draw next
Every review ends with one exercise, about ten minutes long. The next review starts from it and shows how each score moved.
How it works
1. Upload a drawing
A phone photo of a sketchbook page or a digital file. Pencil, ink, charcoal or digital; rough is fine.
2. Your mentor reviews it
Pick one of three AI mentors with different characters and switch any time. On Premium all three review each drawing.
3. Draw it again
Do the 10-minute exercise and upload the result. You see what changed, score by score.
Honest about what an AI can judge
An AI is reliable on fundamentals: proportion, perspective, values, line and composition. It is weaker on taste. A deliberate distortion can read as a mistake, and a loose sketch as an unfinished one.
So treat the scores as a reading of fundamentals and the rest as an informed opinion. When you want a human eye, a teacher or an art community is still worth it. Croqui is the daily practice in between.
Frequently asked questions
Can you rate my drawing for free?
Yes. The free plan includes one full AI review a day, with no credit card and no ads. Pro ($6.99/mo) gives 5 reviews a day; Premium ($16.99/mo) gives up to 10, reviewed by all three mentors.
Will the critique be honest?
It is written to be specific, not flattering: what works, the main problem and why it matters. Where a call is about taste rather than fundamentals, the review treats it as an opinion.
What will the review point out in my drawing?
The one problem that matters most right now, usually proportion, perspective, values or line, described on your drawing rather than in general. Smaller notes come after it, but you get one thing to fix first.
Can ChatGPT critique my drawing instead?
It can, and the feedback can be good. The difference is memory and structure: a general chat treats every drawing as new and changes its criteria each time. Croqui scores the same five axes on every drawing, keeps the exercise it gave you, and the next review checks whether that one thing improved.
Who can tell me what to fix in my art?
A teacher, an art community or an AI reviewer. Croqui is the fast option: an answer in about a minute, any day, with one concrete fix and an exercise. It is a daily practice tool, not a replacement for a human teacher.
What kind of drawings can I upload?
Pencil, ink, charcoal or digital work; a phone photo of a sketchbook page is enough. Reviews are available in English and Russian.
